Reports say a 600-acre Indian hemp farm located at
Ode-Ekiti in Gbonyin LGA in Ekiti state has been
discovered by the National Drug Law Enforcement
Agency (NDLEA) of the state.
This was revealed to newsmen in an interview with the
Ekiti State Commandant of the agency, Dele Akingbade,
saying the weed farm was discovered on July 24 after a
tip-off from concerned members of the public.
He added that four men were caught on the farm and
they had confessed to being paid N1,000 daily to watch
over the farm.
Akingbade described the farm as the largest individually
owned hemp farm in Ekiti.
