Osun Monarch Burnt to Death in His Place

A traditional ruler, the Alase of Ilase-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Adesina Alobijuwon, has been killed by arsonists who set his palace on fire.
He was said to have been burnt to death Wednesday night in his Palace.
A traditional chief in the town, Chief
Oluwagbemiga Oke, who spoke with
THISDAY Thursday at the palace said the monarch's house which was given to him by a prominent indigene of the town got razed by some unknown people who visited the monarch.He said that the monarch had attended to five guests who came with a pink colour
Mazda car before the incident happened. He said "from what we were told, the house got burnt shortly after the people had left."

Father of Triplet Absconded in Enugu State

The joy of Mrs.Ifeoma Odo of Ebo Umuabor in Nsukka Local Government Area,Enugu State,could turn to tears after her husband absconded on hearing that she was in labour for triplets.Odo told the News Agency of Nigeria in Nsukka on Friday that her husband, Mr. John-Patrick Odo, disappeared when he realised she would give birth to triplets."It's been seven days since I put to bed, yet I have not seen my husband. Several attempts to reach him through his telephone have failed as he switched off his mobile phone."I know he has no job but that should not be the reason for him to abandon me and the babies," she said of her husband of three years.Odo appealed to the government and good spirited individuals to come to the aid of the triplets, saying they required a lot of care to survive having been born pre-term."I will be very grateful to all who offer financial help to me and my babies at this difficult moment," she said.

Chocolate City and Brymo's Management Team *The Latest*

On the 30th of October 2013, a meeting was
held between Brymo, his Management and
representatives of Chocolate City at the
Chocolate City office.
This was one of many prior attempts at
reaching a mutually acceptable resolution of
the conflict between the Artiste and the
Record Label.
After deliberations at the meeting, certain
terms were agreed between the parties and
Chocolate City promised to capture the terms
in an agreement to be signed by both
parties.
A few days later, Chocolate City sent in a
plan with terms which were not reflective of
the deliberations and agreements at the said
meeting. A similar occurrence had taken
place in June when lawyers representing
Chocolate City promised to hand Brymo a
Statement of Release from the label on the
condition that he would give up his
(#SonOfaKapenta) album to the label.
The artiste had insisted that Chocolate City
has no right to the work as he still possessed
the rights to the work and the lawyers had
failed to provide the release even after
Brymo agreed to give up the said album.
Please note that the artiste's initial decision
to release his work/ earnings was done in
good faith and with a desire to reach an
amicable settlement. It is becoming apparent
that Chocolate City is not acting in the same
spirit of good faith.
The artiste elected to sever relationships with
Chocolate City in May 2013 when Chocolate
City consistently failed to fulfill its obligations
under the contract. And rather than resolve
amicably, the label is devising strategies to
ensure that the Artiste remains unproductive.
Brymo asserts that under the circumstances
of the creation, nature, execution and
implementation of his contract with Chocolate
City, he is well within his rights as an Artiste
and if no amicable resolution is reached, will
be willing to defend same under the
provision of the Law

from the 2015/2016 season for a fee of over €1billion (£898million).
It represents a big blow to Sky and ITV and is the first time a single UK broadcaster will win the exclusive live rights to broadcast all 350 Champions League and Europa League games.
The telecoms giant will pay a deposit of. around £60m in November 2013, followed by six-monthly instalments commencing July 2015. The break-up between Don Jazzy and D'banj shook
Nigerians as the duo were seen as brothers from
different mothers. With D'banj gone, the focus
shifted to Wande Coal and the dark skinned singer
had said on several occasions that he would stick
with Don Jazzy who discovered him.
But that promise no longer holds water since Don
Jazzy and Wande Coal have been at 'war' earlier in
the week.
The young man in July quietly left Mavin record to
establish his Black Diamond Entertainment. When
the news broke, most people did not believe it till
the recent fallout between the young man and his
boss, Don Jazzy.
The verbal war the two artistes have engaged on

However, fans are surprised at the fallout between

Olamide's Jacket causes confusion while performing

Last weekend's Guinness concert, the Coulourful
World of More was mind blowing! All the A list
artsites were there and indeed, they gave a
superlative performance.
But many guests will not forget Olamide's
performance easily.
When he came on stage to support and perform
with his friend, Phyno, the crowd's cheers were
deafening. His performance was quiet exhilarating.
Known to always associate himself with the
'streets', the young man removed his black leather
jacket saying it didn't represent the 'real'
Olamide.
He quickly threw the jacket into the crowd and four
young men had to fight over the jacket as if it was
sewn with gold threads.
The guys pulled and tossed the jacket amongst
themselves for several minutes with none of them
wanting to let go.
However, after a couple of minutes, two of the
guys knew the struggle might degenerate into
something messy so they had to let go. The third
guy followed suit and the last guy who in fact, was
even the first person to catch the jacket, heaved a
sigh of triumph as the jacket became his finally.

Dino Melaye Arrested Again because of Stella Oduah N225m Car Scam

Former House of Representatives member now anti-corruption crusader, Dino Melaye, was yesterday re-arrested.

Two weeks ago, he was seized by policemen at a rally in Abuja he organized against the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, concerning her part in the ongoing N255 million scandal in the Ministry.

Sources say Mr. Melaye, who leads a group called the Anti-Corruption Network which has been revealing and attacking official corruption, was taken from his office by police officers who brandished a warrant of arrest. It is also understood that his home had previously been searched.

Our source said Mr. Melaye is likely to face charges, based on a copy of his arrest warrant obtained by Saharareporters.

Practitioners (ANTP), Abeokuta, Ogun state
chapter during his lifetime. The aged actor died
last night at an hospital in Abeokuta after
suffering from a brief illness. He was also a
veteran Yoruba theatre legend. RIP, baba.

President Goodluck Jonathan says his
administration is committed and focused in
keeping Nigeria united and peaceful.
Jonathan said this in Yenagoa on Saturday
during the second Bayelsa Thanksgiving Day
anniversary.
The event, which took place at the mainbowl of
the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, had
Governor Seriake Dickson; American human
rights activist, Mr. Jesse Jackson; prominent
cleric, Uma Ukpai; and a host of eminent
personalities in attendance.
Jonathan, represented by the Minister of Police
Affairs, Navy Capt. Caleb Olubolade (retd.), said
meaningful development could only take place
in an atmosphere of peace and stability.
The President, who commended Dickson for his
leadership and initiative for instituting a
thanksgiving day in the state, emphasized the
need to thank God at all levels of government for
His divine protection and guidance.
Jonathan said, "With what the state government
is doing in terms of projects and programmes,
the Bayelsa Government is keying into the
transformation agenda of the Federal
Government.
"On my part as the President of the Federal
Republic of Nigeria, I will remain committed
and focused to keeping Nigeria united and
peaceful under the banner of God who made it
possible for me to be here as your elected
President in that free and fair election."
He said the people must show gratitude to God
for the peace being enjoyed in the country,

I sell cannabis to feed three wives, kids – Suspect

Mr. Yoto Seibokuro, a 27-year-old indigene of
Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of
Bayelsa State, is currently in the detention of the
National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in
Yenagoa, the state's capital. Seibokuro was
arrested on October 26, 2013 at Agudama area
of Yenagoa for dealing in illicit drug, cannabis
sativa.
When he (Seibokuro) and six other suspects
were paraded by the NDLEA last Friday,
(Seibokuro) told PUNCH Metro that he took to
the illegal business in order to take care of his
five children and three wives.
The suspect, who said he was also a fisherman,
said because of his large family, his income from
fishing was no longer adequate hence he started
selling drugs to cope with family pressure.
"I am a fisherman. I have five children and three
wives. I sell drugs to augment my fishing
business. This is because the income from
fishing is no longer able to take care of my large
family," Seibokuro said.
The drug suspect, who said he married when he
was 20 years old, explained that during his early
years of marriage, they were coping until in the
last two years when his financial situation
became precarious owing to his large family.

Asenitiya College, 50; Mrs. Tari Reuben, 37;
Mrs. Penny Gillet, 35; Mr. Simon Obru; Mr.
